I feel like I've been slacking on posting monthly picture updates.  Hopefully I can remember to do this on the first of every month!

Flying baby!

Ty still fights naps sometimes, but usually gives in, even if it means crashing in the middle of the floor.

Our friends Ryan and Susie just had a baby, and Ty is fascinated with her.

Ty loves to "help" Lily with her new-found skill of standing.

She's pretty good, but sometimes loses her balance.

Surprise trip

The kids and I surprised my mom and dad last week with a trip home.  They thought we weren't going to be able to fly out until June.  Unbeknown to them, I had bought tickets way back at the beginning of April.  We had great weather and a good time catching up with family and friends.

Ty loved spending time with his cousin Hayden and Billy Bob.

Lily enjoyed some outside time with Aunt Liz E.

We went to Liz and Hank's Saturday for Oyster Fest 2011.  Hayden and Ty played on the lawnmower and the Gator, while Lily spent quality time with her Great Grandpa.

Lily was so overwhelmed by it all, she decided to take a late afternoon snooze.

Hayden LOVES his cousin Lily.  We can only hope he's this excited when his brother arrives sometime in July (or August!)

Hayden had a serious phone conversation with his cousin Ava.

Ty preferred to just look at the water.  It was a little too cold for him (and me!)

 

The boys watched cartoons while I folded some laundry.

Easter

We didn't do too much for Easter.  Steve wasn't feeling well, so the most we did was venture out to Denny's for breakfast.  But I did take the kids to an Easter egg hunt last weekend.  Lily loved playing with Ty's eggs, and Ty loved chasing a cat and playing with the big kids on the golf cart.

A day in the life

A little glimpse into an average day in the King household.

Ty enjoys some strawberries and yogurt for breakfast, while Shrek stands guard.

 While big brother is distracted, Lily plays with his choo-choo book, and apparently tries to fly.

 Now it's Lily's turn for breakfast-- frozen mangoes in a mesh feeder.

 I took the kids to a playdate, where the moms made recycled crayons and the kids ignored the activity and played.  Here are Ty and Ben, moving too fast for a clear shot.

Lily played in the playroom, too.

Lily enjoys a snack of Mum-Mums and water while Ty and mommy eat lunch.

Ty missed his nap that day so he had some resting time watching cartoons on Nick Jr.

While Lily napped and Ty relaxed, I did some laundry.

Then it got hectic.  Snack-time, playing, Steve came home, dinner, bath, bed...no more time for picture taking!

The San Antonio Zoo

We went with our playgroup to the San Antonio Zoo a couple of weeks ago.  The kids loved it!
